The Chanute Area Chamber of Commerce has been serving the Chanute community since 1928. Its mission is to promote, attract and represent new and existing business.

In 2003, the Chamber accepted a contract with the City of Chanute to provide tourism management services.

In 2012, the Chamber added “Connecting the Community” tagline to its logo. That was meant to reinforce the Chamber’s intent of being the front door for Chanute.

Major Chamber outreach efforts include a monthly Chamber Connections luncheon to educate and promote members, ongoing work to keep the membership informed on legislative issues that may impact local business, assistance with economic development activities and general support of all kinds for the Chamber membership.
