I grew up in Chanute almost my entire life. I graduated from Chanute High School and continued my education at Emporia State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an emphasis on Marketing. Although my ESU Hornets are very near and dear to my heart, I am a big KU Basketball fan. I am married and have two sons. My oldest attended Kansas University and obtained a Marketing Degree, and my youngest son went to Hutchinson Fire Science School and is now a Firefighter in Chanute. As any parent, I am very proud of my boys! I love to bike, hike, run, swim, and golf. I am very active in running and have ran a full marathon and many half marathons over the last 12 years. I am also very involved in our community. I am on numerous boards and love to support the schools with many events. I have a big heart for 4-H and just recently received the Friend of 4H Award. My team and I involve ourselves in many events in our community. We love supporting our community and those surrounding Chanute, Kansas!
